Owner Operator Opportunities with Gulf Winds

Gulf Winds is seeking experienced Owner Operators to join its team in Savannah, GA. As a partner with the largest container drayage provider on the Gulf Coast, our Owner Operators enjoy consistent and steady work.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Average Weekly Pay: $4,000 + FSC
  • Bonuses:
    • Sign on: $2,000 (paid in 2 installments over the first 2 weeks of employment)
    • Referral: $1,000 paid weekly at $125
    • Clean roadside inspection & Safety bonuses
  • Additional pay for Hazmat and overweight
  • Settlement paid weekly / direct deposit available
Equipment and Home Time
  • Any year of truck as long as it passes inspection
  • Home daily with one 2-day run per week
  • Routes: local and regional, out and back from Savannah
Qualifications
  • Must have a valid CDL A License
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Minimum 1-year verifiable tractor trailer driving experience in the last 10 years
  • TWIC/HazMat not required but adds additional opportunities
  • No more than three (3) moving violations within the last thirty-six (36) months.
  • No more than two (2) preventable accidents within the last twenty-four (24) months
  • Must be able to pass a FMCSA pre-hire drug screen and have no prior FMCSA positive drug and/or alcohol testing or refusals within the last 10 years
  • Must be able to pass a previous employer and criminal background check. No misdemeanor in the last five (5) years or felony convictions in the last seven (7) years
  • Must live within 60 Miles of Savannah, GA
