Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at National Park Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting a safe and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Infection Control Surveillance: Conduct ongoing surveillance of infections related to personnel, patients, and the environment to identify potential infection hazards and implement control measures.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of patient care, employee health, and infection control activities.
  • Compile and Present Reports: Compile and present infection control and employee health reports to appropriate committees and management.
  • Inspect and Evaluate: Periodically inspect the environment and observe personnel activities to detect potential infection hazards and report findings to department managers and committees.
  • Collaborate with Departments: Collaborate with all departments to develop and update area-specific policies and procedures pertinent to infection control.
  • Disseminate Information: Disseminate information relative to infection control and implement appropriate infection control measures.
  • Track Exposures and Infections: Track exposures and infections in hospital personnel and develop and implement employee health programs.
  • Develop and Participate in Orientation and In-Service Programs: Develop and participate in orientation and in-service programs to educate staff on infection control practices and procedures.
  • Practice According to Regulatory Agency Requirements: Practice according to regulatory agency requirements, such as The Joint Commission, State Health, CDC, and CMS.
  • Investigate Employee Injuries and Illnesses: Investigate employee injuries and illnesses on request and recommend appropriate medical follow-up.
  • Serve on Hospital Committees: Serve on hospital committees relating to employee health and recommend policies and procedures.
  • Perform Annual Health Screenings: Perform annual health screenings or testing as required.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current RN license with the state of Arkansas.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The Registered Nurse must be able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff, and to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
