A Respiratory Therapy Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of Respiratory Therapists. Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessment and deliver basic oxygen and aerosolized medication therapy
  • Conduct CPR, Arterial Blood Gas Analysis, sputum induction, and other basic diagnostic tests as assigned
  • Clean and perform pre-use testing for various respiratory care equipment and machines
  • Assist in home oxygen discharge and setting up durable medical equipment (DME)
  • Document delivered patient care and all other assigned tasks
  • Function as a team member in patient care and communicate effectively with colleagues and other professionals
Requirements
  • Current enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Therapy education program
  • 6 months of previous experience preferred
  • Knowledge of respiratory principles and procedures, hospital supplies, and hospital routines preferred
  • Basic Life Support Certification
