Plains is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Integrity Engineer II to join our Asset Integrity team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving tools, processes, and programs related to pipeline and facility integrity, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of Plains' Integrity Management Plan (IMP) with minimal guidance from Supervisor, Asset Integrity.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for a specific Plains Operation Division.
  • Provide input on new construction pipelines and due diligence to support Pipeline Integrity efforts.
  • Conduct IMP external audits and collaborate with teams across the organization to break down barriers and achieve organizational goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in the following areas: interpretation of DOT/PHMSA regulations and standards, inline inspection, dig selection, and threat assessment.
  • Solid understanding of Facility Equipment reliability, Risk-Based asset integrity management, and associated regulatory expectations.
  • Qualified to complete advanced activities, such as pressure cycling analysis, Integrity Management Plan (IMP) external audits, failure analysis, incident investigation, fitness for service evaluation, and corrosion evaluation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong team player with the ability to advise team members on effective techniques for handling concerns, objections, and potentially sensitive situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and lead the development of procedures, processes, and tools to increase work efficiency.
  • Cleared criminal history (background) check and satisfactory reference checks.
  • Compliance with the company's Drug & Alcohol Policy, including pre-employment testing.
