We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Emerald Health Services. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for operating x-ray equipment and performing diagnostic procedures related to mammography.
Key Responsibilities- Operate x-ray equipment to produce high-quality mammography images
- Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures related to mammography, including positioning and exposure techniques
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in your work
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest mammography techniques and technologies
- Current certification by ARRT in Radiography
- ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible
- Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT
- Graduation from high school or equivalent and completion of a training program in imaging technology from an accredited school
- 2 years of experience in Mammography preferred
- Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software and eRad is preferred
- Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred
- Prior quality control experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
