* Monitoring & Treatment: Administer medications, titrate drips (e.g., norepinephrine, vasopressin), and operate advanced equipment such as vents, BiPAP, and HFNC.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including charge nurses and house supervisors, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
* Charting: Utilize Epic Systems Corporation's EpicCare Inpatient EMR for patient documentation and monitoring.
* Patient Ratios: Typically 2:1 ratio, with some flexibility based on unit needs.
Unit Details:
* Trauma Level: 3
* Beds: 30 (all private, including 2 negative air flow rooms)
* Common Diagnoses: Sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke, target temperature management, with direct post-cath lab patient care.
* Staffing: The unit includes 2 resource RNs in addition to the Charge RN, with no nurse aides.
Scheduling & Expectations:
* Shift Length: 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM).
* Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
* Holiday Requirement: Required if needed by the unit.
* Call/Standby: Expected to be on standby if low-census situations occur.
* Floating: May be required to float to med/surg units as needed.
* Scrub Color: Royal Blue.

* Request Time Off (RTO): All RTO needs to be submitted prior to the start of the contract.
