Job Summary

The Compassus Hospice Registered Nurse is a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of compassion, integrity, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold the Code of Ethical Conduct and foster positive working relationships within the company and with external stakeholders.
  • Provide patient-centered care, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure and relevant experience in hospice care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
  • Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English.
Work Environment

The Compassus Hospice Registered Nurse works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, requiring adaptability and strong organizational skills. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
