Job Summary

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Level III Tower Technician to join our team at ADB Companies Inc. As a key member of our wireless infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of wireless communication towers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decommission towers and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform PIM testing, RF sweep testing, and fiber testing as required
  • Install and route coax, hybrid trunks, and jumpers
  • Hang booms, mounts, antennas, and equipment, and rig towers in Class IV rigging scenarios
  • Layout and install ice bridges and use cad welds properly
  • Build out tower platforms on the ground and install them on towers with exposure to catheads
  • Route and secure hybrid cables and jumpers
  • Fabricate steel in the field and on towers
  • Wire in Raycaps and install Flash Technology lighting controllers
  • Troubleshoot fiber, power, and RF issues using PIM/Sweep gear and fiber testers
  • Take pre-construction and closeout photos
  • Rig towers in Class III rigging scenarios
  • Install microwave dishes, antennas, RRUs, and other wireless equipment on towers
  • Gain knowledge from experienced technicians and foremen to develop skills based on the Career Advancement Matrix (CAM)
  • Climb and work on communications towers for installation, replacement, and repair of antenna systems and equipment
  • Use hand tools and mechanical equipment
  • Identify hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working near energized lines and equipment
  • Climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with a 50-pound load
  • Analyze situations accurately and take appropriate action
  • Perform other duties as requested
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in wireless technologies
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • RF Awareness Training
  • OSHA10 certification
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Environment
  • Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc.
  • May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while on site
  • Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, including hot, cold, humidity, and rain
  • Must wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots, when working on site
Compensation

This position starts at $26/hour and is determined by experience and skillset.
