About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical Nurse to join our team at California Hospital Medical Center. As a Medical Surgical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients admitted to our unit.

Your success in this role will depend on your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment, think critically, and make sound decisions. You will be responsible for delivering care to 4-6 patients per shift, administering medications, changing dressings, monitoring vital signs, and charting with timely documentation.

You will also collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals, including social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care to 4-6 patients per shift
  • Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements
  • A Medical Surgical Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the State of California
  • BLS required for all areas
  • 1 year acute care experience
  • LA City Fire Safety (within 90 days from date of hire)
  • Licensed California Registered Nurse
