Endocrinology Care Specialist

Pinehurst Medical Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Endocrinology team. This role plays a pivotal part in patient care, functioning independently in the medical office setting under the supervision of a licensed physician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patient health status, including state of wellness and compliance with care plans, determining appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Patient Care Delivery: Provide acute and chronic patient care, including taking histories, monitoring therapies, administering injections and medications, and triaging patient calls to evaluate patient problems.
- Clinical Decision-Making: Make responsible decisions within the scope of a dependent medical practitioner, responding to emergencies, and using CPR as necessary.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document patient information and care provided in patient records, maintaining department statistics, and utilizing computer systems to access and enter relevant data.
- Educational Programs: Develop and implement health education programs and materials as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team to provide continuity of care, educating patients and families as appropriate.
- Confidentiality and Compliance: Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Licensure and Certification: Possess an active license to practice nursing in North Carolina as a Registered Nurse, with written approval from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and the North Carolina Medical Board to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or current North Carolina PA license, certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Education and Experience: Prior experience in a NP or PA role in an endocrinology care setting is preferred.
- Certifications: BLS/CPR Certification is required.
Salary and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
