Job Summary

We are seeking a Part Time Substitute Educator to join our team. As a Substitute Educator, you will be responsible for delivering our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents and other observations.
  • Deliver our curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
  • Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play.
  • Excellent communication skills with varied audience including children, parents, staff and school personnel.
  • Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability.

Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills.

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Excellent communication skills with varied audience including children, parents, staff and school personnel.

  • Bilingual: Mandarin & English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proof of High school diploma/GED required.
  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements; FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter, Cleared TB, and Food Handlers Card.
  • 18+ years of age.
