We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchandising Specialist to join our team at Breakthru Beverage Group. As a Merchandising Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining a timely and accurate call schedule, following established merchandising processes for each retailer, and ensuring point-of-sale material is placed on shelves and displays.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a timely and accurate call schedule to ensure efficient execution of merchandising activities.
- Follow established merchandising processes for each retailer to ensure compliance with supplier requirements.
- Ensure point-of-sale material is placed on shelves and displays to maximize sell-through of products.
- Rotate product through organized processes to maintain a visually appealing and well-stocked store environment.
- Build and install displays and work closely with the customer and sales team to coordinate the timing and location of displays.
- Stock shelves and displays to maximize sell-through of products and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Coordinate and/or assist with product resets to ensure a seamless transition between product offerings.
- Establish and maintain a rapport with key individuals in accounts to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Obtain feedback from accounts on the effectiveness of merchandising procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
- Support the sales team to service accounts within requirements and identify and communicate individual account problems and opportunities to the appropriate account contacts and Breakthru Beverage Group contacts.
- Develop industry, channel, and brand knowledge on a continuous basis to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent training and work experience.
- No prior experience required, but a strong understanding of merchandising principles and practices is essential.
- Basic PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs, including presentation software.
- Results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills, diplomacy, and discretion, as well as customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
- Analytic and reporting skills, with the ability to utilize sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, team environment.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to remain in a stationary position at times; communicate, and operate a computer and telephone.
- Carrying and lifting 45-65 pounds.
- Frequent driving and exiting/entering vehicle to service assigned accounts.
- Overhead reaching to perform various duties.
