Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Our client in White Plains, NY is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join their team. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity with a competitive schedule.

Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. This will involve interviewing patients, positioning them on the examining table, and entering data into the computer system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures and request removal of hazardous metal objects.
  • Position patients on the examining table and place specified coils close to the area of interest.
  • Enter data into the computer system, including patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, and orientation.
  • Key commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters and receivers.
  • Observe patients through the control room window to monitor safety and comfort.
  • View images on the display screen to ensure quality.
  • Maintain patient care, comfort, and safety during the exam.
  • Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems.
  • Maintain a clean environment inside and outside the scanner.
Requirements
  • ARRT registered as an MR technologist.
  • New York State Registered Technologist with Injection.
  • Active BLS training.
