The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Oncology/Transplant (E7) unit. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct patient care to patients with a wide range of medical oncology conditions, including stem cell transplant.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care to assigned patients, adhering to the standards of care defined by UAMS, ANA, and specialty-specific patient populations.
- Collect and document assessment data, develop and implement individualized Plans of Care, and evaluate patient progress towards desired outcomes.
- Administer medications, provide patient and family education, and discharge planning, as needed.
- Act as a resource and support for other team members, promoting a positive work environment that fosters clinical education and teamwork.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing.
- Valid RN License.
- One (1) year of Registered Nursing experience.
- Excellent communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Strong work ethics and accountability.
- Two (2) years or more nursing experience with current BLS.
- Med/Surg or Oncology experience.
- Chemotherapy Certified.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to patients with varying medical conditions. The successful candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull weights of up to 100 pounds, and work in a moderate noise level environment.
