We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our Musculoskeletal Clinical Program, Hand/Wrist subspecialty. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, maintaining high clinical standards, and collaborating with physicians and providers across the health system.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership for all Musculoskeletal Providers within the Hand/Wrist subspecialty.
- Maintain active clinical responsibilities as a Hand/Wrist Surgeon and ensure high clinical standards.
- Plan and lead subspecialty meetings with Hand/Wrist providers system-wide.
- Lead physician collaborations in the Musculoskeletal Clinical Program for the Hand/Wrist subspecialty.
- Participate as the Hand/Wrist subspecialty content expert with the Value Analysis Team.
- Design and implement care models that meet the needs of patients with Musculoskeletal conditions.
- Communicate regularly to inform and connect Musculoskeletal providers across the system.
- Collaborate with other members of the Clinical Program, Service Lines, and operations to develop care pathways for Musculoskeletal conditions.
- Assist service line leadership, specialty care, and Medical Group in the recruitment process.
- Evaluate opportunities to scale resources across the region using technology.
- Serve as a system expert for peer review for Musculoskeletal cases in the Hand/Wrist subspecialty.
- Participate in the Musculoskeletal Clinical Program strategic planning process.
- Support research endeavors for the Musculoskeletal Clinical Program and collaborate with the Office of Research.
- MD/DO Education from a CMPE-accredited institution.
- Accredited Hand Surgery fellowship.
- Active Licensure (CAQ) or in process of obtaining licensure.
- Three years of clinical experience working as an Orthopedic Surgeon in Hand/Wrist subspecialty.
- Two years of experience leading successful improvement in clinical settings.
- Two years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
- Experience with change management and leading in the adaptation and implementation of new processes or technology.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Trained in improvement science (i.e., Six Sigma, Lean, Project management, Advanced Training Program).
- Experience working in a complex health system.
- Demonstrated leadership of clinicians.
