Job Overview: The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for maintaining the entire plant's electrical systems and installing new electrical systems without supervision to improve safety, productivity, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Electrical Systems Expertise: Has a solid understanding of all mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems of equipment that comprise its operation.
- PLC Ladder Logic: Reads, edits, and creates PLC ladder logic as it relates to production equipment operation and modification.
- Safety Procedures: Follows all safety procedures per company regulations, state, and federal regulations (NFPA70E, OSHA, etc.).
- Electrical System Installation: Installs new electrical systems and maintains existing ones without supervision.
- Control System Implementation: Implements, upgrades, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and installs control systems to enhance facility safety, productivity, and quality.
- Facility Quality: Performs quality checks, including inspections of the facility.
- Preventative Maintenance: Performs regular inspections and preventative maintenance on control systems.
- Documentation: Maintains backup documentation for settings on all equipment within the facility.
- Training and Development: Participates in creating and implementing training programs for maintenance employees or operators when changes or new control systems are implemented.
- Vendor Collaboration: Works with vendors and consultants to troubleshoot and repair electrical and control-related issues.
- Inventory Management: Assists in maintaining stable inventory levels.
- Equipment Information: Gathers information for new and existing equipment.
- Operator Support: Communicates with operators to assist with solutions or repair of electrical problems.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
