Job Summary:

Turner Industries is seeking a skilled Insulation Specialist to join our team. As an Insulation Specialist, you will be responsible for covering, boilers, pipes, tanks, and refrigeration units with insulating materials to reduce heat loss and prevent moisture condensation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Covers pipes and equipment with insulating materials such as fiberglass, cork, and plastic.
  • Applies mastic or brushes cement to obtain a smooth finish.
  • Fits thermo-block and magnesia-block insulation around boilers, evaporators, and turbines.
  • Installs insulation on machinery and staples wire netting over insulation.
  • Cuts and fits insulation sections around fittings.
  • Covers gas piping with molded plastic.
  • Fabricates detachable insulation for valves or similar fittings.

Requirements:

  • Four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level).
  • Written pre-employment qualification test.
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.

Physical Demands:

  • Climbing ladders, scaffolds, and structures above and below ground level.
  • Maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, and structures.
  • Reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials.
  • Lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead.
