Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Sky Lakes Medical Center. As a Triage/Clinic RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and standards, and apply this knowledge in accordance with Sky Lakes/CEFPC policies and procedures.
  • Function as a team member, implementing appropriate nursing actions to meet the patient's physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and intellectual needs.
  • Provide nursing support to clinic patients, both in person and on the phone, and assist medical assistants with well-child visits.
  • Accurately document information and observations that contribute to the patient's assessment and plan of care, and report abnormalities to physicians.
  • Assist with medication refill process following CEFP guidelines, administer injections/immunizations, and start and manage IV lines as ordered.
Requirements
  • Current Oregon State RN licensure
  • CPR certification by the end of month following 2 months from hire date, and maintained
  • Previous patient care experience
  • Knowledge of proper telephone techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Medical terminology
  • Working knowledge of numbers and measurements
  • Accuracy in documentation
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
  • Participate and promote teamwork
  • Knowledge of licensure scope of practice and ethical code of conduct
Preferred Qualifications
  • Continuing education to maintain competency in field of nursing
Working Conditions

The Triage/Clinic RN will work in a fast-paced clinic environment, handling multiple telephone lines, walking/maneuvering frequently in and around the clinic building, and standing for long periods of time.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to prioritize work demands and organize time efficiently, and think clearly under stressful situations.
