Description

Job Summary: As a Security Officer at MODOC NATION OF OKLAHOMA, you will be responsible for protecting all casino assets and maintaining the integrity of gaming while providing a safe environment for employees and guests. This role is under the direct supervision of the Surveillance and Security Officer Manager and under the indirect supervision of the General Manager or designee.

Major Job Functions:

  • Guard and monitor premises to prevent theft, property destruction, violence, or rules and safety violations.
  • Perform fire prevention, safety, and maintenance tasks and parking/traffic enforcement.
  • Provide escorts for casino property when being transported from one location to another.
  • Provide crowd control and assist local law enforcement agencies in emergency situations.
  • Escort and/or assist guests, vendors, employees, or other visitors while on property as needed.
  • Assist with emergency medical situations that may occur.
  • Maintain a cohesive work environment through teamwork within the department and with every department within the casino.
  • Answer phones, monitor radios, and perform data entry.
  • Complete incident reports and submit them in a timely manner.

Other Job Functions:

  • Safeguard all confidential information and maintain departmental confidentiality.
  • Observe patrons to detect various types of scams, fraud, and other violators.
  • Report any personal circumstances that may pose a conflict of interest or hamper credibility to the Stables Casino.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must have one to two years of related experience or training (preferred).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Modoc Nation Gaming License.
  • May be subject to a criminal background investigation.
  • Must possess high integrity regarding confidential and sensitive information.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and meet deadlines.
