Position Summary

A role as an Electrical Project Estimator II involves a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. This position requires the ability to develop projects from initial concepts through to final execution. Key responsibilities include:
  • Identifying and pursuing potential projects and clients.
  • Visiting job sites or client locations as needed.
  • Making critical decisions regarding pricing, compliance with electrical codes, and design considerations.
  • Participating in regular meetings with clients, architects, and contractors.
  • Managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines, which may require extended hours.
  • Demonstrating a strong commitment to the company's vision and values, as this role represents the company in various interactions.
  • Maintaining effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and estimate electrical projects based on conceptual plans to facilitate negotiations and bids.
  • Engage with clients through various communication methods to negotiate project details.
  • Coordinate project design requirements with engineering teams post-award.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Follow up with clients on proposals and maintain relationships.
  • Conduct field meetings to promote the company’s services.
  • Review labor rates and project designs with relevant teams.
  • Perform multiple estimates concurrently and develop vendor bid packages.
  • Stay updated on relevant codes and regulations.
  • Participate in client functions and maintain a professional presence.

Secondary Responsibilities
  • Conduct outreach to generate new business opportunities.
  • Assist in marketing initiatives to enhance client relationships.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and project closeouts.
  • Support the development of pricing strategies and training for junior estimators.

Qualifications
  • Proficient knowledge of electrical installation methods and estimating practices.
  • Experience in electrical construction or consulting.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
