About the Role

We're seeking an Associate Underwriter to collaborate with our Underwriting team in collecting information, performing CAT modeling, and analyzing risk factors to determine client eligibility for insurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to our service standards as outlined by Arrowhead General Insurance Agency.
  • Understand carrier guidelines, including systems processes related to underwriter duties.
  • Underwrite and price accounts according to specific carrier guidelines.
  • Issue quotes and binders documenting insurance coverages.
  • Develop and promote broker/agent relationships to support production goals.
  • Coordinate workflow between Underwriter and Associate Underwriter.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and one to three years of experience in the insurance industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as policy and accounting systems, and vendor-specific computer programs.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks.
