Coastal Carolina University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Housing Custodian. This full-time role will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of university housing facilities.

• Clean and maintain surfaces, floors, and inventory in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain refuge and recyclables in accordance with university policies.
• Participate in planned, preventative, and unexpected work to ensure the upkeep of facilities.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following safety procedures and mitigating risks.
• Maintain equipment and report maintenance and supply needs to ensure optimal performance.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of six (6) months of cleaning experience.

• Knowledge of cleaning tools, equipment, products, and techniques.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including footwear, gloves, mask, eye protection, and other.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and software.

This position includes indoor and outdoor work, with minimal overtime required. Occasional work may be performed in excessive heat, cold, or on slippery or uneven surfaces. Physical demands include standing for extended periods, lifting items up to 25 pounds, and moving items exceeding 50 pounds with proper equipment.
