  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Enter and manage medication orders for patients in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Ensure the appropriate prescription and administration of medications to patients within the institution.
    • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide optimal patient care.
  • Requirements:
    • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy required, PharmD degree preferred.
    • PGY1 residency or 3 or more years of inpatient practice preferred.
    • Valid and active RPH license required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
    • Alabama Controlled Substance certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
    • BLS certification required, BPS certification preferred.
    • Ability to accurately perform computer order entry duties.
    • Proficient in pharmaceutical calculations and the metric system.
    • Basic knowledge in pharmacokinetic calculations and parenteral nutrition management.
    • Knowledge of aseptic technique.
    • Evidence of commitment to continuing education.
