We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team at AirBorn Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for storing, inventorying, and issuing material, as well as maintaining accurate stock records.
Key Responsibilities- Perform cycle counts to ensure accuracy of inventory levels.
- Weigh small parts to count and distribute into kits.
- Store articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to stock tags.
- Issue door tags as required.
- Distribute stock to production workers, maintaining records of material issued.
- Read and follow SP0009 Picker Note instructions.
- Issue material from pre-built stock inventory when possible.
- Issue newly arrived components for critical parts shortages when possible.
- Perform daily cycle count of selected stock items and compare to computer stock records.
- Resolve discrepancies as required.
- Maintain inventory and other stock records in computer and print reports.
- Ensure the neatness of the stockroom, following 'first in, first out' procedures, and maintain stock locations to accommodate changes, additions, and deletions.
- Move or transport materials to other departments.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Three months to two years of related experience or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CRT experience and experience with scales.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
