Perioperative Technician

The Perioperative Technician-OR is a vital member of the surgical team, responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and effective communication skills to ensure seamless patient care and efficient surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares the operating room with supplies, instruments, and equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and surgical teams.
- Assists the surgical team with patient care activities, such as positioning, preparing, and transferring patients.
- Restocks supplies and maintains inventory, ensuring that all necessary equipment and materials are available for surgical procedures.
- Collaborates with the RN to problem-solve and ensure that patient care needs are met.
- Provides excellent customer service, communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum six months nursing assistant experience or perioperative experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Ability to read, write legibly, and speak in English with professional quality.
- Ability to use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position.
