Key ResponsibilitiesThe Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused respiratory care in alignment with departmental standards and practices. As an integral member of the healthcare team, you will:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including evaluating breath sounds and airway conditions.
- Administer respiratory therapies, such as oxygen and aerosol treatments, as well as perform chest physiotherapy.
- Assist in the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patients for therapeutic responses and take appropriate actions in case of adverse reactions.
- Facilitate the safe transportation of patients requiring ventilatory support.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, ensuring airway management and adequate ventilation.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- An Associate Degree in a relevant field.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or State Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials.
