We are currently seeking both part-time and full-time culinary specialists to enhance our Food and Beverage division. Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Position Overview:

The culinary specialist is responsible for preparing a variety of pantry items for different dining outlets, including restaurants, banquet services, snack bars, and beverage carts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completes opening and closing checklists.
  • Refers to the daily preparation list at the beginning of each shift for assigned tasks.
  • Prepares a diverse range of meats, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using grills, fryers, and various kitchen equipment.
  • Consistently adheres to our standard portion sizes, cooking techniques, quality benchmarks, and kitchen protocols.
  • Ensures proper storage and handling of food items.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation, including tables, shelves, walls, grills, fryers, sauté burners, ranges, and refrigeration units.
  • Opens the kitchen correctly and follows the opening checklist for kitchen stations, assisting others as needed.
  • Promptly reports any equipment or food quality issues to the department manager or supervisor.
  • Assists the Head Chef in scheduling and managing kitchen operations to ensure a successful workflow.
  • Incorporates safe work practices into daily tasks.
  • Demonstrates regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications:

A certificate from a college, technical school, or accredited institution, or 6-12 months of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The employee may occasionally need to stand, walk, sit, use hands for handling or feeling, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision and distance vision.
