High-Performance Processor Engineer

Job Summary

As a Software Engineer in our Silicon Technologies group, you will play a critical role in designing and manufacturing our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processor, system-on-chip (SoC). Your expertise will ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and debug SoC and CPU directed and random tests
  • Develop and maintain system-level SW platform
  • Lead SW development and execution plans of SoC projects
  • Work with designers and architects to accomplish validation goals
  • Engage with other teams at Apple to develop validation strategies based on product needs

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of SOC and CPU knowledge, including micro-architecture, memory hierarchy, interrupt and DMA, clock and power gating
  • System level understanding and experience with SoC bringup
  • Expertise in Embedded programming with an understanding of hardware-software interfaces
  • Knowledge of Hardware and Software debug tools and methods
  • Experience with scopes is a plus

Education & Experience

A minimum of a BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience in silicon validation software engineering or related field.
