About the Position

The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Intensivist to join our team at the VA Medical Center in Columbia, SC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized care to critically ill patients in our intensive care units
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care
  • Make a meaningful difference in the lives of our Nation's Veterans and their families

Benefits:

  • Eligibility for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program up to $200k
  • Up to $400k p/year, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
  • Paid Time Off: 50–55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
  • Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting, VA contributes 16.6% to pension) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA

Requirements:

  • 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
  • Up to $1000 p/year for CME
  • Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
  • No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting

About the Department of Veteran Affairs
