About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at PeopleTec, Inc. in Huntsville, AL. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications using cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software applications using C++, Java, or similar languages
  • Create and run unit tests to ensure software quality
  • Develop software documentation to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Create and run automated software builds and pipeline in a Continuous Integration Continuous Development (CI/CD) environment
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and Government customers to understand requirements and deliver solutions
  • Work within an Agile team environment, including program increment planning, iteration planning, feature and story development, sprint planning, and iteration perspectives
  • Participate in demonstrations for the team and program sprint reviews
Requirements
  • Proficient in C++
  • Experience with GitLab/Git for software configuration management
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system
  • Experience programming network connections (e.g., message generation, formatting, UDP and TCP/IP interfaces)
  • Travel: None
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college in related discipline with 5 years professional experience
  • OR Master's degree with 3 years professional experience
  • OR PhD with no experience
Desired Skills
  • Familiar with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Experience with Java and user interfaces
  • Experience with Jira, or similar tool, for issue tracking and agile project management
  • Experience with multi-core and multi-threaded programming
  • Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) missile defense systems
