Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Engineer to join our team at Verizon. As a key member of our network design and optimization team, you will be responsible for designing and planning the Radio Frequency Network for Verizon LTE and 5G, including RF analysis, search area issuance, candidate assessment, and approvals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automate network and data performance issues via software means to resolve and maintain optimum service for our customers efficiently and reliably.
  • Design and plan the Radio Frequency Network for Verizon LTE and 5G, including RF analysis, search area issuance, candidate assessment, and approvals.
  • Redesign mature network areas to minimize capacity constraints and improve SINR while working with other areas of the network to ensure performance fixes/initiatives are in place.
  • Use internal tools (FUZE, ATOLL) to process regulatory compliance.
  • Perform Macro/Small Cell Design/In Building design including antenna selection and placement, utilizing knowledge of 5G, LTE, CDMA 1x, EVDO, and microwave to contribute in network design.
  • Work on new cell sites, making sure the site is properly integrated into the network and optimized for peak performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Live in or are willing to relocate to Hawaii.
  • Even better if you have one or more of the following:
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Ideally, a Master's degree.
    • Five or more years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry with direct experience in RF Design & Optimization.
    • Solid knowledge of RF theory and practice as well as LTE/VoLTE Technology.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $95,000.00 and $193,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
