Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team at Dulles South Veterinary Center. As a Veterinary Technician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support veterinarians and technicians in ensuring quality veterinary care and advocating for pets.
  • Assist with hospital functions to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional services.
  • Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
  • Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
Requirements
  • Prefer one year of recent experience in a veterinary setting.
  • Commitment to working within a team environment.
  • Positive, will-do attitude.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a busy work setting.
  • Professional demeanor and outgoing personality.
