Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Psychologist to join our team at the VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION. As a Staff Psychologist, you will provide psychological services to patients with a variety of mental health concerns.
About the Job
This position is located at the Camp Springs Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC), one of several CBOCs in the Washington DC VAMC network. The successful candidate will provide daily coordination in Primary Care Mental Health Integration (PCMHI) and report directly to the Chief of Psychology.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have experience in providing initial assessments for patients seen by primary care, therapeutic interventions for patients with mild/moderate mental health concerns, individual and couples psychotherapy, and psychoeducational groups and focal group therapy.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides initial assessments for patients who are being seen by primary care
- Provides therapeutic interventions for patients with mild/moderate MH concerns using a brief, problem-focused evidence-based care approach
- Provides individual and couples psychotherapy
- Provides psychoeducational groups and focal group therapy
- Consults with PACT Team staff on a wide variety of patient care issues
- Provides supervision of trainees conducting direct clinical care
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have a doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or equivalent accreditation body. You should also have completed an internship training program that was accredited by APA or CPA at the time it was completed and is consistent with the assignment for which you are applying.

Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $145,000 - $170,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
