Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a full-time Anesthesiology Medical Director to oversee our anesthesia department. This role is based in a dynamic healthcare environment where you will lead a dedicated team of professionals.

Team Structure:
The anesthesia division comprises 6 Anesthesiologists and 3 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs). Daily operations involve 2 Anesthesiologists and 3 CRNAs managing 4 operating room suites, with an additional MD available for obstetric coverage.

Clinical Focus:
This position is dedicated exclusively to operating room cases, including but not limited to general surgery, gastrointestinal procedures, orthopedic surgeries, podiatric operations, gynecological interventions, and obstetric care.

Compensation Package:
The annual compensation for this role is $500,000, which includes a $450,000 salary on a 1099 basis, complemented by a $50,000 W2 Medical Director stipend and a comprehensive benefits package. All malpractice insurance for providers will be covered, and health benefits commence on the first day of employment.

Work Schedule:
The work schedule follows a 3-week rotation, requiring 11 working days within a 21-day cycle. The schedule is structured as follows: the first week includes rotating call from Monday to Sunday, followed by Tuesday to Friday with rotating call the next week, and then 9 consecutive days off. Daily OR coverage is required, with on-call duties every other night during working periods (no obstetric call).

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology
  • Active medical license to practice in the state
  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in anesthesiology
  • Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities
