Job Summary
The Admission Nurse is a professional registered nurse who serves as a liaison between hospitals, physicians, other facilities, healthcare professionals, and insurance companies. This role is responsible for evaluating patient referrals for inpatient, partial hospitalization, or outpatient services, obtaining physician approval for admissions and pre-certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluating patient referrals for inpatient, partial hospitalization, or outpatient services
- Obtaining physician approval for admissions and pre-certification
- Performing inquiries, screenings, admissions, pre-certifications, and referrals
- Displaying expertise in crisis intervention skills and guest relations
Requirements
