About the Role

ABF Freight is seeking a skilled CDL driver to join our team as a Local City Driver. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pickup and delivery of cargo to and from various destinations, typically within proximity of the consolidation/distribution center.
  • Loading and unloading of trailers, utilizing the same techniques, technology, and procedures as a dock worker.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics, including on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (candidates with less than 1 year experience may be eligible for training).
  • Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements and no automatic restriction.
  • Good stable work record.
  • Safe driving record (from MVR and previous employment).
  • Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements.
