About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at a healthcare facility in Upstate New York. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals who are passionate about providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and psychological status through interviews, health histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic studies.
  • Develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, including disease diagnosis and appropriate care plans.
  • Provide patient care, including administering injections, immunizations, wound care, and prescribing medications and therapies under supervision.
  • Document patient history, admission notes, care plans, progress notes, discharge notes, and follow-up letters.
  • Supervise and coordinate the duties of procedural assistants, ensuring departmental policies and standards of care are maintained.
Qualifications
  • Current NYS Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Certification.
  • Oncology experience and knowledge.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
