Pet Groomer

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Full-Time Groomer to join our team at Stamford Veterinary Center and My Pet Lodge. As a key member of our grooming team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to our canine clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process.

• Build strong relationships with pet owners and their pets, providing a welcoming and calming environment for all.
• Independently perform all grooming tasks, including bathing, drying, ear cleaning, brushing, de-matting, breed-standard cuts, and nail trimming.
• Groom and style pets according to owner instructions and/or breed standards, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques.
• Develop long-term relationships with pet parents by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that promote pet health and happiness.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming environment, adhering to high standards of hygiene and sanitation.
• Keep accurate records of grooming details for each visit.

• 2+ years of grooming/styling experience, with proficiency in scissoring and clipper work.
• Excellent animal handling skills and ability to understand animal behavior.
• Ability to operate and use all grooming tools and equipment, including bathing tubs, brushes, steel combs, shears, scissors, clippers, dryers, and bathing equipment.
• Formal training or certification is desired.
