Job Summary

St Croix Hospice is seeking a skilled Massage Therapist to join our team. As a Massage Therapist, you will provide compassionate and skilled massage therapy services to patients in need of end-of-life care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct massage therapy services to patients under the direction of the clinical supervisor or clinical director.
  • Assess patients for medical indications and perform assessments to determine the effectiveness of therapy.
  • Treat patients to relieve symptoms and provide relaxation and comfort.
  • Direct and aid patients through massage therapy interventions to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, isolation, agitation, restlessness, sleeplessness, pain, muscle tension, circulation, stiffness, contractures, limited mobility, relaxation, and comfort.
  • Utilize interventions such as Swedish Massage, Comfort Touch, Energy work, and compressions.
  • Bring awareness to the clinical team of appropriateness and/or contraindications for treatment.
  • Observe and report patient responses to treatment and changes in condition to the clinical supervisor or clinical director.
  • Provide education and awareness to the clinical team regarding therapy treatment.
  • Maintain necessary records, including clinical notes, problem charting, and coordination notes.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program with a minimum of 600 hours of training.
  • Current licenses or certifications as required by state law.
  • CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
