Radiology Technologist

At Intermountain Health, we are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
Job Summary:The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for producing high-quality x-ray images of patients, positioning and instructing patients regarding x-ray procedures, and maintaining patient information and imaging equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiologic principles and practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Produce high-quality x-ray images of patients
- Position and instruct patients regarding x-ray procedures
- Maintain patient information and imaging equipment
- Perform x-ray procedures using portable machines as requested by the Emergency Department and nursing units
- Process films for radiologists reading/interpretation following established procedures
- Prepare or clean patient rooms by changing linens, stocking supplies, and wiping off tables and equipment
- Protect patients from undue exposure to radiation by using lead shields and various safety factors
- Prepare and assist in administering contrast agents by monitoring dosages and determining any potential allergies
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging files
- High School diploma or equivalent, required
- Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and the ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), required
- Current license/certification in the state of practice, required
- Possess a current Basic Life Support Certification, or obtain certification within one month of employment, required
- At least one (1) year of experience in a setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility or department, preferred
