At TelCom Construction, we are seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Technician to operate and maintain specialized machinery used in the installation of telecommunications infrastructure. Your Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate trenching and excavation equipment at various job sites
  • Install and maintain underground fiber optic and telecommunications cabling
  • Restore and landscape disturbed areas post-installation
  • Prepare sites by digging pits and trenches as per project specifications
  • Set up and maintain safety perimeters using appropriate signage and barriers
  • Load and unload tools and materials as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Experience with digging and trenching equipment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record; Class A CDL preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and safety awareness
  • Effective communication skills with team members and clients

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, with the ability to lift up to 100 lbs as needed. The role requires standing, crouching, and climbing in various weather conditions.
