Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) is a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans. As a Family Medicine Specialist, you will be working with VES to provide medical evaluations and services to support the healthcare needs of Veterans.
Job Description
You will be responsible for performing medical evaluations, including interviews and physical assessments, at one of our leased facilities or within your own practice. You will also be required to submit reports and questionnaires within 48 hours of completing an exam. Training will be provided for all reporting requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a background in family medicine or internal medicine. You should be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions. Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio is also required. You will need to obtain DMA certification if not already certified, but the client does not reimburse for this certification.
Benefits
This is a PRN opportunity, meaning you will work on an as-needed basis. You will have the option to choose from two different coverage options: traveling to our leased facility to perform exams or scheduling Veterans within your own practice. You can work days (4 hours) and/or full days (8 hours). Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment, and you will not be required to prescribe or treat patients. Quick credentialing and onboarding are available, and you will have the opportunity to get CME credits through DMA certification.
