Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Physician Assistant specializing in Head and Neck Medical Oncology. In this role, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary care team, delivering comprehensive medical services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver primary, secondary, and occasionally tertiary medical care within your scope of practice and in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including histories and physical examinations, and order necessary diagnostic tests.
  • Document patient consultations and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Perform routine medical procedures as authorized through the privilege process.
  • Manage follow-up care for patients, including ordering imaging and providing necessary medical interventions.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians to interpret imaging results and discuss patient progress.
  • Prescribe medications and provide guidance on safe narcotic use.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of pharmacology, including the effects and interactions of medications.
  • Engage with patients and their families to review treatment plans and ensure understanding.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to inform clinical care decisions.
  • Advise patients on health management, including diet and mental health, and refer them to specialists as needed.
