We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at MultiCare Health System in Tacoma, Washington. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for surgery by ensuring they are properly positioned and draped
  • Maintain a sterile environment by following proper protocols and procedures
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team
  • Participate in the cleaning and disinfection of the operating room
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in surgical technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also need to be certified as a Surgical Technologist and have a valid Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration.
