Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to join our team at the Eden Prairie Center. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, executing work orders, and ensuring the overall upkeep of the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform minor preventive and corrective maintenance in various areas, including but not limited to, sweeping, snow removal, painting, general maintenance repair, plumbing, drywall, and event setup and breakdown.
  • Operate equipment such as sweeper trucks and participate in snow removal efforts.
  • Assist with repairs and projects as assigned, utilizing blueprints and manuals to guide your work.
  • Inventory and maintain a well-stocked supply of materials, accurately ordering parts and materials as needed.
  • Accurately and timely complete work summary sheets, log books, and equipment log sheets.
  • Participate in and foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaborating with colleagues and other departments to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Respond to emergencies, including fires and internal or external disasters, and perform assigned duties.
  • Utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with colleagues, other departments, and the public.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and adhere to company policies and procedures.

  • No prior experience or training is required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
