Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals and improve their functional abilities.
- Conduct Evaluations and Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify patients' needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Provide Education and Training: Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on how to perform daily activities and maintain independence.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
- Supervise Support Staff: Supervise and mentor occupational therapy assistants and students to ensure they are providing high-quality care.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Continuing Education: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in occupational therapy.
- Education: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- License: Current active or temporary Illinois licensure to practice occupational therapy or ATT letter (authorization to test) issued by Continental Testing or the State of Illinois.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience as an occupational therapist, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
