Neuropsychologist - Clinical Expert

Job Summary
The Neuropsychologist will provide evidence-based neuropsychological assessment, treatment, and care services for individuals and families within the Southern Region of Hackensack Meridian Health. The candidate will work primarily through the outpatient Neuropsychology Clinic, but inpatient/rehabilitation evaluations may also be required. Research and didactic opportunities will also be available. Academic appointment is available through the Hackensack Meridian Health School of Medicine. The position reports to the Director of Medical Psychology as a Division within the Department of Neurology.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, treat, and document patient care according to Hackensack Meridian Health standards.
- Collaborate with the Director of Neuropsychology to provide excellent patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Work with other Neuroscience personnel to facilitate transdisciplinary team function to maximize diagnostic accuracy and positive treatment outcomes for all patients.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with existing and potential Neuroscience, Hackensack Meridian Health, and community referral sources.
- Support the Hackensack Meridian Health culture.
- Provide clinical supervision to staff and trainees to ensure consistent high-quality service provision across the Hackensack Meridian Health continuum of care.
- Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- PhD/PsyD in Clinical Psychology through an APA-accredited clinical program with an accredited clinical internship.
- Completion of a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology consistent with the Houston Conference Guidelines.
- Experience with neuropsychological assessment tools.
- Able to perform comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological assessments and develop and implement appropriate care plans.
- Eligible for faculty appointment at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
- Possessing the vision and experience to work with Medical Center goals in a managed care environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Licenses and Certifications: Psychologist License, Board-certified in Clinical Neuropsychology or board-eligible with the expectation to attain board certification within 3 years from date of hire.
- 15 years of experience or greater in the field is an exception.
