Job Title: Operating Room Tech / Operating Room Open Heart

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join their team in Charleston, South Carolina.

Job Summary

As an Operating Room Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include preparing the operating room, assisting surgeons and nurses, maintaining sterile conditions, and transporting patients to and from surgery.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of the operating room, including setup and organization of equipment and supplies
  • Assistance to surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment
  • Maintenance of a clean and organized operating room, including disposal of biohazardous waste and restocking of supplies
  • Transportation of patients to and from surgery, including preparation of the patient for transport
Requirements
  • Nationally Certified in Surgical Technology (NBSTSA)
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute Surg Tech experience
  • Trauma Experience preferred, not required
  • Travel experience preferred, not required
