Responsibilities

The Civil Design Engineer position requires a candidate with 0-3 years of civil and site design related experience. This position will be responsible for preparing project drawings, engineering reports, and calculations.

The successful candidate will support Project Managers and professionals primarily in our Baltimore office.

Essential Functions

Performs design of site and civil infrastructure improvement projects, including design of sanitary sewer, water systems, storm drainage, storm water management, grading, and sediment and erosion control.

Assists and performs preparation of calculations, hydraulic models, drawings, engineering reports, and submission packages.

Coordinates with project managers, landscape architects, surveyors, architects, and owners in the design and development of public and private projects.

Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and civil engineering modeling programs.

Ability to follow company standards and templates for preparation of drawings, calculations, and reports.

Willingness to mentor and teach others.

Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.

Qualifications

Four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related.

0 - 3 years of experience in civil engineering.

AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.

Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
