About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Select Specialty Hospital - NE NJ Rochelle Park. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting healing and recovery in a compassionate environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Treat patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses, utilizing your expertise to develop specialized skills and improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in discharge planning, ensuring seamless transitions and patient/family education.
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and OT/COTA students, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct individual patient therapy regimens, monitoring patient response and modifying treatment as needed.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation, adhering to department policies and procedures.
  • Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Valid, current license in the State in which you are practicing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
  • Eligibility to take or has passed the examination for Occupational Therapists administered by the NBCOT.
  • Successful completion of the National Registry Examination.
